Remedial Electronics for Myself
I admit being a huge electronics boob; a neandertal of sorts in this area, so I set out to change this just a bit by going out and buying the things that will enable me to reduce this handicap.

The ArrL handbook good start- but more advanced books can be found at US gov. Book source Gov. pubs for military persons who want to advance in rating-from A to Z. facts manuals full of data. For example "Basic Electronic Circuits; etc.
Thanks for the tip! I was hoping the ARRL handbook wasn't the only place to "Get Smart".
